On his way to Damascus to hunt for followers of Christ, Paul is struck to the ground and blinded. Having his sight restored through Ananias’ intercession, the one who formerly persecuted the Church now becomes a shining example of faith.
Ananias is called by God to heal Saul’s blindness. May his example inspire us to respond to the Lord’s invitation to reach out to others as we put our faith into practice every day.
Paul’s conversion from enemy to advocate of Christianity was made possible through the courage of Ananias, whose example inspires us to live our faith with boldness, conviction and trust.
Like parts in a play or orchestra, it takes many people – in great and small ways – working together to bring forth something beautiful. The same is true in spiritual life, and we see today in the example of Ananias how God can take even our smallest action and bring about great results.
