While we might be tempted to think that adultery and divorce are recent problems of modern society, the Lord’s teaching today reminds us that these issues have been with humanity from the beginning.
Jesus teaches that he has come, not to abolish, but to fulfill the Law and the Prophets. As we follow the Lord with all our hearts we pray that his saving work will flourish within and through our lives.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, through Christ our Lord.
