Having been chosen by Christ, the Twelve are now commissioned to do specific ministry in the name of Jesus. May we take to heart their example and actively seek our opportunities to serve the Lord today.
Jesus selects the Twelve apostles and empowers them with his authority for ministry. May we see in their call our own opportunity today to proclaim the Kingdom of heaven by the gift of our lives.
As Jesus sends out the disciples two-by-two to carry on His ministry, we see that with God’s grace and one another we can do great things for the Lord.
From the very beginning, the Lord’s earthly ministry included prayer, preaching, teaching, healing and driving out demons. May His example inspire us to actively seek ways we can continue this work in our lives today.
As Jesus empowers his disciples to minister to the people, we are reminded that the Lord continues to invite us to serve in His name to those in our lives.
The compassion of Jesus shines through the various aspects of His earthly ministry, inviting us to offer our lives today as we carry on the Lord’s work with loving hearts.
Seeing the crowds, the heart of Jesus was moved with pity for their many needs, and he responds by empowering his disciples to go forth in his name. Their example reveals the opportunity we have every day to serve our struggling brothers and sisters around us.
