Christ calls the Twelve Apostles, who become the foundation of the faith we have received. May we continue to build upon the efforts of those who have gone before us, adding to the household of God and providing for those who will follow after.
In the spiritual battle of life we equip ourselves with the protections provided by the armor of God. May we embrace these gifts and use them each and every day.
Using the examples of a mustard seed and yeast, Jesus shows how the Kingdom of God begins small and develops over steady growth. May this teaching inspire us to cultivate each day a worthy and fruitful harvest of faith within our hearts.
Psalm 1 amplifies the call of Ephesians to live a godly life, with the joy of children of the light and the strength of a tree planted by flowing water.
Despite obstacles, difficulties and abandonment, Timothy is assured that God remains close in our spiritual battles. May we run the race and keep the faith that we have received as we journey through this life to the next!
The response from Psalm 33 echoes the wonder and awe in our hearts as we acknowledge the beauty of creation. May our awareness of creation help us to discern the contrast of our sin, inspiring us to run to Christ for the grace we need.
The end of this passage of Luke’s Gospel is one of my favorite passages of Scripture, even as it challenges me to the core. May we use wisely the gifts entrusted to us!
