Let’s examine the themes that we discover in the Mass readings for the 29th Sunday of the Year.
1st Reading – Exodus 17:8-13
Joshua leads the people against Amalekites in battle.
From a hilltop, Moses (with the help of Aaron and Hur) raises the staff of God and prays for the Israelites, who are victorious.
Psalm – 121:1-8
“Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

2nd Reading – 2nd Timothy 3:14-4:2
We remain faithful to what we have learned and believed about the Lord Jesus.
