Daily Mass: The Holy Innocents. Catholic Inspiration

There is a grim aspect to the Gospel reading today. Innocent baby boys, slaughtered to satisfy Herod’s need to protect his ego, recall for us the reality that cruelty, hatred, evil and sin are part of our human condition. May this terrifying event inspire us to respect all life as a precious and sacred gift from God.

Father Mullen spoke a wonderful homily today about abuse, children, family and responsibilities. He spoke so meaningful you could have heard a pin drop. At the end of Mass he spoke of importance of adoption and being “Catholic “ and taking care of children. What a wonderful message. Thank you for priests like you. Beth Esser
