COVID-19 has disrupted our lives, offering us an opportunity to examine our habits and reflect on what might change for the better. Discipline – the ability to consistently and regularly carry out an appointed task with a high level of performance – is a crucial element that can help us thrive in body, mind, heart and soul.
Forgiveness is a practical application of the command to love, and it is one of the most difficult things we are called to do as disciples of Jesus Christ. Yet this act not only allows us to receive the light of God’s love in our hearts, but it also empowers us to shine with this love in the world.
Would you like a soul-shaking Lent that touches the core of the heart? With a little reflection and some dedicated attention this holy season can transform our lives, draw us closer to Christ, and empower us as his disciples.
Now that the holidays are passed many people kick off the New Year with a resolution. Here’s one to consider for the good the soul: making Mass a weekly habit, and inviting as many people as possible to join us.
As we bring the year 2019 to a close, perhaps it makes sense to take a brief walk back through the last twelve months and reflect on how our lives have changed. Where did we experience moments of growth? Where did we experience God’s grace? May we look back and count our blessings as we prepare for a New Year.
How can we share our faith with those around us? Some simple and practical considerations include service, invitation, technology and word of mouth…and perhaps one of these will speak to our hearts today as we proclaim the Good News to those we meet.
